Offered in very good condition: a legendary Audio Note M2 Phono preamplifier. This specific unit combines Audio Note’s iconic, rich, and musical 'house sound' with the reliability of a solidly built tube amplifier.
The amplifier has been fully serviced. A few years ago, the paper-in-oil capacitors were preventively replaced with copper foil mylar-in-oil caps. Please note: the current production model uses the less expensive aluminum foil caps.
Key upgrades & features: Original Audio Note Copper Foil Mylar-in-Oil Capacitors: The old (and over time, failure-prone) Paper-in-Oil caps were preventively replaced with Audio Note’s official, premium successors. This delivers the familiar magic sound, combined with modern durability and precision. This upgrade alone costs hundreds of euros in parts.
Premium NOS (New Old Stock) Tubes: Equipped with high-quality vintage tubes that take the performance to an even higher level, offering significantly more depth, detail, and warmth than standard factory tubes. Tube complement: 6X5WGT RCA USA / ECL82 Mullard UK / 6SN7GT Sylvania USA.
