A rare opportunity to acquire a matched pair of Audio Research Reference 610 monoblock valve power amplifiers—one of the largest and most ambitious statement amplifier designs ever produced by Audio Research.
The Reference 610 was created without compromise for the most demanding high-end systems. Each enormous monoblock delivers 500 watts continuously, with typical available output of approximately 550 watts and up to around 600 watts under ideal operating conditions.
Despite their immense power and authority, these amplifiers retain the openness, dimensionality, tonal richness and musical refinement for which Audio Research’s finest valve designs are renowned. They are capable of controlling extremely demanding loudspeakers while preserving delicacy, transparency and spatial information.
Each amplifier employs sixteen 6550C output valves, with additional 6550C regulation valves and separate driver, input and regulator stages. The front-panel metering system allows the operation and bias of the individual output valves to be monitored and adjusted.

Both amplifiers are supplied with the pictured heavy-duty professional wheeled flight cases. These are particularly important given the exceptional size, weight and value of the equipment.
Because the amplifiers weigh approximately 154 kg combined before their transport cases, ordinary parcel delivery is not appropriate. Collection is strongly preferred. Specialist palletised or dedicated freight transportation may be arranged at the buyer’s expense and risk.
