The carefully executed design, massive power supply, and direct heated tubes result in an utterly effortless and realistic reproduction of music. This SC10 Reference Phono Preamplifier is an all-transformer coupled masterpiece.
The unit is completely hand-wired (point-to-point) with 99.99% pure silver wire. This pure silver path includes the LCR (RIAA) inductors, input/output paths, and all internal wiring.
It features a bespoke silver wire moving coil (MC) transformer specifically optimized for world-class cartridges like the Lyra Atlas or similar high-end equivalents.
The complete three-stage design (RIAA first/second stages and output stage) is driven by selected RCA mono plate tubes.
The external M8-paper oil power supply is equipped with a premium Takatsuki TA-274B tube rectifier. Handcrafted in Japan in cleanroom environments, the Takatsuki 274B is highly prized by audiophiles for its meticulous precision, supreme analogue sound, and robust ~7,000-hour lifespan.
The phono amplifier is in excellent condition. I am the first and original owner. The amplifier has hardly been used due to my living abroad, and it has been kept in a non-smoking environment.
