Living Voice Living Voice IBX-RW – Premium Satin Ebony – Mint Condition – €4,990

Description

For sale is a pair of Living Voice IBX-RW, the original generation of the prestigious IBX-RW Reference series, finished in stunning premium satin Ebony.

The speakers were purchased second-hand in October 2019, with invoice, directly from Definitive Audio (UK), the company of Kevin Scott, designer of Living Voice loudspeakers.

In November 2019, the original rosewood cabinets, one of which had suffered minor damage during transportation, were replaced with two completely brand-new cabinets in premium satin Ebony finish, supplied by Living Voice. These are the same type of cabinets now used on the latest RW4 models.

The speakers are in exceptional, mint condition, with absolutely no scratches, cosmetic imperfections or functional defects.

Sound Quality

The original IBX-RW loudspeakers are renowned for their exceptionally natural presentation, harmonic richness and remarkable musical coherence.

The specialist hi-fi press, particularly the French magazine Haute Fidélité, which awarded them its prestigious “Best Buy” distinction, praised their beautifully delicate treble, fluid midrange, tonal accuracy and complete absence of harshness.

This first-generation RW has a particularly appealing sonic character, offering a slightly warm, smooth and organic presentation that prioritises musical emotion and long-term listening pleasure over an overly analytical approach.

Exceptionally refined loudspeakers, particularly well suited to high-quality valve amplification as well as the finest solid-state electronics.

They also pair beautifully with high-end equipment from brands such as Audio Note, Kondo and SoulNote, and will appeal to enthusiasts of Harbeth, Spendor, ProAc, Tannoy, Sonus Faber, ATC, PMC, Rogers, Wilson Audio, Avalon Acoustics, Verity Audio, Kharma, Magico, Focal Utopia, Franco Serblin, Dynaudio and Mulidine.
