• Im direkten Vergleich hingegen tönte der XLR-Ausgang wie entfesselt. Er entwickelte eine Wucht und Substanz, gegen die der auch geringer auflösende Cambridge fast nervös und fitzelig wirkte. Der eilig aus dem Referenzregal geholte Moon CD .5 konnte da besser kontern. Doch immer noch behielt der neue McIntosh die Oberhand bei Kontur und Spielfreude. Erst der Ayre CX 7e löste nochmals feiner auf. Super: 61 Punkte für den McIntosh.
