The Sansui B-209 The Tube is a limited-edition stereo tube power amplifier produced in very small numbers (approx. 200 units) and originally released around 1997. It’s often regarded as one of Sansui’s last original tube amplifier designs and was mainly aimed at the Japanese domestic market
Historical & Collector Notes
• The B-209 was a collaboration between Sansui and vacuum tube expert George Kaye, combining Sansui’s hi-fi heritage with high-end tube design techniques. 
• All ≈200 units sold out immediately via pre-order when released, making the B-209 exceptionally rare today. 
• It’s often described in audiophile forums as beautifully built with a warm, engaging sound, typical of quality tube amplifiers — though subjective impressions vary.
