The Aavik Acoustics D-580 is an incredibly analog sounding D/A Converter. It's best qualities are the big 3D image, the incredibly silent background and the way it can transfer the emotions from recordings to your room. A big part of it's natural sound comes from the unique noise and induction cancelling techniques from Audio Group Denmark which are also used in their Ansuz Acoustics products. Also the compact laminate housing with solid copper chassis inside and titanium anti resonance cross plays a big part in the pleasant, detailled and non-technical sound. The big red dot display on the front is incredibly easy to read from basically any distance, this makes scrolling through the menu to change certain settings a breeze. You can dim the brightness of this display or just turn it off entirely in case you are not a fan of the red dots.
The Aavik D-580 can handle PCM formats up to 24bit/192kHz, you can choose to upsample all PCM formats to 24bit/200kHz or leave them original as is, either with a slow or a fast roll off filter. The Aavik D-580 can also accept DSD formats up to DSD128 on it's USB input.
This Aavik D-580 has been traded in by it's first owner who bought it new from the previous Dutch AGD distributor (we are the current AGD distributor for the BeNeLux). The device is in mint condition and comes with full original packaging and the latest remote control. Also we have installed the latest software and DAC firmware on it.
The Aavik D-580 can be placed on Ansuz Darkz decouplers for the most optimal performance, ask us for an offer.
