Balanced Audio Technology REX 300 Power Amplifier
The REX 300 is essentially a lower-power version of the popular 500Wpc REX 500; think high-end technology at its best. Not everyone needs so much power, hence the rationale for the REX 300, which delivers 200Wpc, while utilizing virtually all the exceptional advanced circuitry found in its big brother.
Starting from a massive power supply, the REX 300 employs the same TWIN-Path (split power supply topology) as the REX 500. These individual power supply paths enable the power supply to deliver far more current than traditional designs. This power supply design is further enhanced by BAT's new “SuperPak Quattro” capacitor bank, which offers four levels of power supply filtration. The result is that music's textural beauty, tonal density and harmonic precision become far more evident. What's more, since the best fuse is no fuse, the REX 300 follows its big brother with a protection circuit that eliminates internal fuses, enabling it to handle higher currents without hindering circuit operation.
The REX 300 stands at the pinnacle of simplicity for modern high-power amplifier design, thanks to an amplifier circuit consisting of just two gain blocks. What's more, the output stage is based entirely on a single amplifier.
