The Denon AU-300LC Step Up Transformer is designed to amplify the very low output signal of an MC (moving coil) cartridges to a level so that it can then be properly balanced and amplified by a MM phono stage. It uses LC-OFC (Linear Crustal Oxygen Free Copper) coil windings. The Denon AU-300LC fits with low output MC cartridges with output impedance between 3~40 ohms.
