IIt is with deep regret that I am offering my ELP Master Alfa laser turntable to anyone interested. Sadly, this is the reality: after Covid, I have been losing my hearing, and under any other circumstances I would never part with it.
This is truly a remarkable device with outstanding sound quality. A few words about the Master Alfa: it is the flagship model in ELP’s lineup, delivering uncompromising and unmatched playback performance.
ELP Master Alfa reproduces musical information better than the tracing of a needle.
It reproduces the record as it is.
When using a cartridge or needle, the reproduced sound is embellished by differences in the sound characteristics and frequency responses of each individual cartridge.
Because a Laser Turntable reproduces sound as it is, it clearly reproduces the cutting and pressing conditions of the record.
In other words, it clearly reveals the quality of the record.
For example, analog noise caused by air bubbles remaining due to improper processing during record pressing, or burn noise caused by a record that has undergone a chemical reaction due to poor vinyl processing, are examples of this.
For this reason, some Japanese record companies use Laser Turntables for quality control, and some use them to determine the level of completion of their records.
In short, the Master Alfa is a unique device for true vinyl enthusiasts, allowing you to hear a recording exactly as it is.
Just three months ago, the unit returned from Tokyo, where it underwent a complete factory service.
The Master is equipped with two outputs: one XLR line output and one RCA output for an MM phono preamplifier.
A remote control is also included in the set.
The external and technical condition is perfect (the protective film is still preserved on the front panel).
Naturally, all documents, accessories, and the original double shipping box are included.
