Ikeda was the most inventive cartridge designer in the world.
The first coreless coil design reduce effective mass of the moving
parts and eliminate cartridge hysteresis distortions which was
a large problem with conventional MC’s with CORE material
in the coils.
His FR 7 series was and still is an remarkable achievement.
But less known is his CANTILEVRLESS design which
is called ‘’DECCA MC’’ in order to emphasize its dynamic
similarity ; the most dynamic MC cartridge ever made.
Rex was the latest in this series in the 90is while CD started
in the 80is. This may explain the lack of information.
I started discussion in Audiogon forum about those designs
in order to get more information about them(see internet

According to some members ''the best ever''.
The ‘’body’’ or ‘’corpus’’. Or the materials as ‘’arguments’’.

‘’Titanium kinds’’ even “jewel stone kinds’’, etc.
‘’kinds’’ all assumed to dampen resonances. So the
Germans invented their first joke: ‘’if the theory and practice
coincede than both are probably fals’’.
