Beschreibung
The Tambaqui DAC from Mola Mola is the perfect upgrade for owners of complete high-end systems who want to preserve the signature sound of their existing preamplifier while taking their digital sources to the next level. The DAC consists of two sections. In the first section, all incoming digital audio is upsampled to 3.125 MHz/32-bit and converted to noise-shaped PWM. In the second section, there are two monophonic D/A converters, in which a discrete 32-stage FIR D/A converter and a single-stage I/V converter with 4th-order filtering convert the PWM to an analog signal with a stunning SNR of 130 dB. This approaches the theoretical limit for 24-bit files and far exceeds even 4x-speed DSD. What is unique is that distortion remains below the noise floor even for signals at full volume.
