Beschreibung
This is a pair of Monitor Audio PL 200 II speakers from 2022 (first owner) in piano high-gloss black. They are being sold in connection with the purchase of the Monitor Audio PL-200 III. The speakers come with a full 5-year warranty. The PL200 II is the absolute sweet spot of all the Platinum Series II speakers.
Technically, the PL-200 II is a much better speaker than the PL-300 II. This is because the internal design is much better built. The PL-200 was also released three years later than the first Platinum Series. This technical advantage is also present in the PL-200 II speakers.
Because the bass port of the PL-200 II has been modified and shortened, the timing of the PL-200 II is significantly better than the PL-300 II. The bass response is faster and shorter. The stage is also wider and deeper. Furthermore, the balance between bass, midrange, and treble is improved. And voices and instruments are rendered more palpably.
The PL-200 II is a loudspeaker that can audibly reproduce all nine sound characteristics. This includes treble diversity (which our customer experienced with the PL-200 II). A good example is that you can hear Miles Davis playing his trumpet at a height of 1.4 meters (30 cm higher than the height of the AMT tweeter).
Monitor Audio has fitted the ceramic bass and mid-range drivers with carbon fiber backing. This reduces distortion by 25%. This is reflected in the extreme layering of the sound. In a shootout with a 37.500 Euro loudspeaker, the PL-200 II was able to audibly reproduce details that were not audible with the 37.500 euro loudspeaker.
In this price range, no other loudspeaker can produce such an extremely deep and wide stage. This can also be optimally experienced at our client's home with the PL200 II. This creates a 3-dimensional holographic stage, normally only possible with the world's most expensive speakers.
Voices and instruments are reproduced lifelike in size and shape. Within the wide and very deep stage, voices and instruments are completely free and free in the space before you. The PL-200 II features a matrix construction, which provides even better rigidity.
All drivers are mounted to the rear using a drive-through bolt construction. The PL-200 II offers ultimate sonic coherence. Therefore, no matter what type of music you play, it is reproduced at an ultimate level every time.
