Beschreibung
In perfect condition is this specially tuned Pro-Ject Tube Box S, designed for MC or MM cartridges. There are 2 spare unused special tubes, as well as all accessories and paperwork. This version is the more expensive version of the original (specially tuned by S.W, more below) and is certainly a very high performer, comparing very well to much more expensive options. There are several settings on the back to get the best setting for your individual cartridge and the instructions (DE and EN) explain how to do this effectively for best performance.
“Tuned by S.W.” is a signature designation used by Pro-Ject to indicate that Siegfried Waldner personally fine-tuned the circuit’s sonic character — particularly in the analog stages and the tube (valve) gain circuitry. This “tuning” usually covers aspects such as:
Tube biasing and operating points
Component selection (resistors, capacitors, op-amps, etc.)
Overall tonal balance and noise floor
Matching the preamp’s sonic personality to Pro-Ject’s higher-end audio philosophy
