The legendary CD player, in top condition from my collection, fully upgraded and calibrated, electronically and mechanically.
The construction and components of the Revox B200 series corresponded 100% to the ultra-solid and therefore indestructible, long-lasting Studer studio equipment.
All components and boards are therefore modular, studio design and can be quickly removed for service purposes, only the connections and the more convenient operation have been adapted from Revox devices from studio to hi-fi requirements.

The S series was the best and therefore the most expensive of all B-200s and therefore all Revox series, it was equipped with the very best components and piano lacquer side parts.
Equipped with the legendary Philips CDM1 all-aluminium die-cast drive, which was only used in the world's best CD players.
The CD drawer and the entire mechanical frame are also made of die-cast aluminium.
The legendary Philips TDA1541A is used a DAC convertor.

The construction and components of the Revox B200 series corresponded 100% to the ultra-solid and therefore indestructible, long-lasting Studer studio equipment.

The S series was the best and therefore the most expensive of all B-200s and therefore all Revox series, it was equipped with the very best components and piano lacquer side parts.

The main features of the Revox B 215-S are: 3 heads and off-tape monitoring, digital linear tape counter with 4 digits, tape type selection and capable of handling normal, chrome and metal tapes, double direct drive dual-capstan transport.

Typical front loading cassette deck with the cassette compartiment located on the center of the deck. Tape eject is operated mechanically and the cassette needs to be placed directly over the head block. Additionally the heads can be easilly accessed for cleaning.

Level meters are generic digital peak reading meters.
Full-logic transport controls used on the B 215-S let it respond to the slightest finger contact for fast and effortless transport function selection.

Dolby C-type used in the B 215-S provides 20 dB of noise reduction above about 1,000 Hz, fully doubling the amount given by B-type.
The Dolby HX PRO system provides precise bias control during recording to reduce distortion and improve linearity in the high-frequency range, the result is recorded sound that is highly faithful to the original. The three-head configuration of the B 215-S requires a Double Dolby system, one for recording and one for playback.
The 19kHz multiplex pilot slgnal present in FM stereo broadcasts can cause false triggering of the noise reduction system.
The switchable MPX filter of the B 215-S filters out the pilot signal, and assuring proper Dolby processing of FM stereo programs.

For undisturbed listening a jack connector for a pair of stereo headphones is supplied. All main transport commands can be issued remotely with a wireless remote control.
