For sale is a pair of Synergistic Research RESOLUTION REFERENCE X2
2mt long. Pair of high-level cables, for demanding audiophiles. There
connection is XLR. The cables are in perfect condition.
The power supply is a Standard MPC at 230V, this product makes the cables stable and immune to disturbances, turning on the blue LEDs on the cables.
The price is not negotiable.
The packaging in bulk .
Synergistic Research has some unique ideas about the technology they use in constructing their cables. I must say I’m not terribly fond of the practice, but am sure pleased with the results. I refer to the one by which they use an active, electrically powered network, to ‘shield’ their wires from extraneous interferences.
Regular household current and is then converted to low DC voltage is applied to a mesh cover on the cabling that disallows spurious outside energies or HF waves from affecting the signal passing through the wires. An exra benefit is a dead silent backdrop for the signal inside the conductors.
As I have both inactive and active models of the same item and the ‘plugged in’ (actively shielded), perform with a far better level in both harmonics and noise quieting of the background. The lights on the cable ends are either accepted or hated, depending on ones preference.
The Resolution Reference series of interconnects, Synergistic’s top of the line, evolved from one model to three during the course of this review. The original Resolution Reference interconnect, now called the Resolution Reference Mk 1, is constructed by single geometry — that is, uses one conductor each for signal and ground. The conductors are woven with two polymer shafts for resonance control, enclosed in black mesh of 3/8-inch diameter, and tipped with heavy, gold-plated RCA plugs. Surprisingly, materials aren’t the customary top-of-the-line silver and Teflon. Instead, Synergistic uses copper matrix alloy that they call “Type 2” and since I’m sworn to secrecy, I’ll just say it’s not what you’d expect. For a dielectric, the Resolution References use multiple extruded layers of polyethylene.
