T+A PA 3100 HV And PS 3000 HV
The PS 3000 HV is a high-performance additional power supply and was specially developed for the A 3000 HV output stage and the PA 3100 HV integrated amplifier. With over 500 watts of power at 4 ohms, these are at such a high level of sound and performance that simply increasing the output power, and therefore the voltage, no longer provides significant sonic improvements . Our research and development work on high-performance power amplifiers such as the M 10 or S 10 and the resulting development of the HV concept have clearly shown that voltage and power stability via a power supply is decisive and most important for the sound quality of a power amplifier. . We drew the right conclusions and developed an additional external power supply.
The T+A PA 3100 HV integrated amplifier is an evolution of the PA 3000 HV, and most of its subassemblies are identical. The most obvious difference is the pair of front panel VU meters, which display the power generated per channel in logarithmic form in watts at 4 ohms. A revision of the preamplifier section (DC coupling) has further improved the sound quality.
The analog mains section and power supply, similar to those of the A 3000 HV, have been redesigned. It is thus possible to connect the additional mains section PS 3000 HV in order to further increase the stability and performance of the entire power system. The additional unit provides an additional 1800 watts of power, allowing the system to effortlessly control even the most difficult speakers, so they can deliver the best possible sound quality.
