Ich bin der zweite Besitzer dieses Plattenspielers. Ich besitze ihn seit 18 Jahren. Ich habe ihn nur äußerst wenig gebraucht, da er in unserem Ferienhaus in Schweden stand, 12 Jahre lang, und wir dort nur im Sommer waren. Seit zwei Jahren ist er jetzt gänzlich ungebraucht.
Der Plattenspieler ist in einem atemberaubend schönen Zustand. An der Zarge kann ich nicht eine Gebrauchsspur erkennen, er sieht so schön aus wie neu. Achtung: Dies ist natürlich eine subjektive Einschätzung! Bitte beachten Sie die Fotos. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Als der Plattenspieler unter dem Weihnachtsbaum stand als Geschenk für unser Ferienhaus in Schweden, da tropfte Kerzenwachs darauf. Hinten links hat die Haube Kerzenwachs abbekommen. Sie werden lachen: Wir haben das Kerzenwachs nie entfernt, es hat uns nicht gestört. Außerdem wollte ich keinesfalls die schöne Haube verkratzen. Der Käufer hat also die Chance, das Kerzenwachs selbst zu entfernen. Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass es bei vorsichtiger Arbeit vollständig abgeht.
Die Originalverpackung ist nicht mehr vorhanden. Dafür ist die originale Bedienungsanleitung in schönem Zustand noch vorhanden!
Der Plattenspieler funktioniert einwandfrei, mit kleinen Einschränkungen: Der Tonarmlift funktioniert nicht mehr und die Endabschaltung funtioniert nach meiner Erinnerung nicht mehr. Ich habe deshalb in Schweden den Tonarm immer mit der Hand genommen und auf die Schallplatte gesetzt, bzw. den Tonabnehmer. Das ging gut und hat Spaß gemacht. Am Ende der Schallplatte habe ich den Tonarm immer mit der Hand angehoben und zurück geführt. Ob der Plattenspieler da automatisch abgeschaltet hatte oder ich ihn erst manuell ausschalten mußte, weiß ich nicht mehr. Wichtig ist jedenfalls, dass der Teller sehr gleichmäßig drehte und auch ohne Probleme hochlief. Der Hörgenuß war sehr groß!
Ich habe das Lager des Tellers mit einem Öl, das mir die Vertragswerkstatt von Thorens dafür geliefert hat, neu ausgestattet. Der Riemen ist noch gut.

I am the second owner of this turntable. I have owned it for 18 years. It has seen very little use, as it spent 12 years at our holiday home in Sweden, where we only stayed during the summer. It hasn't been used at all for the past two years.
The turntable is in stunning condition. I cannot spot a single sign of wear on the plinth; it looks as good as new. Please note: This is, of course, a subjective assessment! Please refer to the photos. The only downside: When the turntable was sitting under the Christmas tree as a gift for our holiday home in Sweden, some candle wax dripped onto it. The dust cover got some wax on it at the back left. You might find this funny, but we never removed the wax; it didn't bother us. Plus, I didn't want to risk scratching the beautiful dust cover. So, the buyer has the chance to remove the wax themselves. I imagine it would come off completely with careful work.
The original packaging is not included. However, the original instruction manual is still present and in good condition!
The turntable works perfectly, with a few minor exceptions: the tonearm lift no longer works, and—if I recall correctly—the automatic shut-off at the end of the record doesn't work either. Consequently, in Sweden, I always manually moved the tonearm (or rather, the cartridge) onto the record. That worked well and was enjoyable. At the end of the record, I would always lift the tonearm by hand and return it to its rest. I can't remember if the turntable shut off automatically at that point or if I had to switch it off manually. In any case, the important thing is that the platter spun very steadily and ramped up to speed without issues. It was a real pleasure to listen to!
I re-lubricated the platter bearing using oil supplied by an authorized Thorens service center. The drive belt is still in good condition.
