Buyers Beware! I bought the Meridian 508.20 CD Player from Matej Verhovc and was told that it is in a perfect working condition. Within just one week after using the CD player, I would experience occasional skip disc problem. Was advised by Matej to ensure that the disc is clean & must be original CD (not CD-R) which it is but the fault still persisted. Two weeks later, there was another more serious problem with the Meridian CDP! For no apparent reason, the spindle cap went missing and couldn't play any disc. I managed to bring the Meridian CDP to a local hifi technician who managed to retrieve it. Said the spindle cap was magnetized to the internal puck above the spindle mechanism. This morning when I'd wanted to put a disc into the Meridian CDP, the spindle cap was missing again & the CD player is basically useless! Several subsequent attempts to contact the seller Matej have gone unanswered with no reply. I began to suspect if those earlier positive feedbacks about the seller is genuine! I'd relied on these feedback before I decided to purchase the item from the seller! Overseas buyers beware! I live in Asia and the seller is supposedly from Slovenia which is across the globe! I shouldn't have ordered a used CD player online as it's difficult to verify the condition of the item nor would I know if it is actually a scam!
