Braun CM6 Stone Speakers – September 1990 – Mint Condition – Genuine Braun Stands

Cost 1500DM new which including inflation is about €1750 in todays money.
Beautiful pair of Braun CM6 Stone loudspeakers, manufactured in September 1990, finished in Braun’s iconic classic black. They are very heavy at 9KG each!
The speakers are in mint condition and come complete with the rare genuine original Braun speaker stands, which are increasingly difficult to find separately. Also included are the appropriate Braun DIN speaker cables.
What makes this pair particularly special is that both crossover networks have been completely rebuilt. Every single capacitor and resistor in both crossovers was replaced, not simply a few selected components.
The original components were replaced with significantly more premium modern audiophile-grade parts, including:
• Audyn Q4 400 V polypropylene capacitors
• Dayton Audio 1% precision resistors
• Mundorf 2% resistors
The replacement components alone cost over €140, and the work was carried out throughout both crossover networks. The result is a beautifully refreshed pair of CM6s that should perform at least as well as, and arguably better than, when they originally left the factory.
This is therefore not simply a mint original pair of CM6s. It is a carefully preserved and comprehensively upgraded example, with the rare genuine Braun stands and original-style DIN cables included.
