Description
For sale is an Ancient Audio Lektor Step CD player in a unique, individually configured version.
The unit was purchased by me directly from the manufacturer as new about one month ago. I am the first owner. The player has been used only very briefly — in practice, I listened to it for approximately three days — so it is in mint condition, practically as new. Formally, I do not describe it as new only because it has already been purchased from the manufacturer and used in my system. In practical terms, it is an almost unused unit, not yet fully broken in.
The player comes with the full original manufacturer’s set, including the transport crate and all standard accessories supplied with the unit.
At my request, already at the production stage, the manufacturer upgraded the technical and sonic qualities of the player by using selected components and solutions applied in the flagship Ancient Audio Lektor Joy. Compared with the standard version of the Lektor Step, the following upgrades were introduced:
- V-Cap ODAM capacitors were used instead of V-Cap OIMP;
- USB 2.0 by Matway Electronics was used instead of the standard USB 1.0 input;
- a TentLabs low-jitter clock was used instead of the standard clock.

This is a very rare opportunity to purchase an almost new Lektor Step, additionally made in an upgraded configuration by the manufacturer itself, not modified later by an external service.
The unit is fully functional and in perfect technical and visual condition. Personal collection is preferred. Shipping is also possible in the original transport crate, at the buyer’s cost and risk.
