Ancient Audio Single Silver Mono is a 4box tube amplifier with power supply separate into 2 boxes for the left and for the right chanall as the amplifier as well separate into 2 boxes.
Single Ended Triode, Single 300 B per chanell.
I'm selling this legendary amplifier with 4x tubes 300B from Takatsuki one pair used, the second pair brand new + Very rare Telefunken E88CC from 70's.
Power supply start up is very slow, it takes 60 seconds. Eventually, all voltges are growing very gradually. It prevents 300 B delicate cathode wire from thermal shock. Tube fatigue is much lower, and life of sometimes very expencive and rare tubes is significancy longer!!!
As for 8W per channel with high sensitivity speakers the sound is truly amazing, 3dimentional, with incredible dynamics, detailed and very realistic! It plays every kind of music with engagement, but you have to know it's not another 300B amplifier with puffy warm sound it's not a"tube sound" I can only call it very natural.
After 4 years of enjoying this exceptional amplifiers I've decided to change my speakers and with them also amplifiers it might not be a good decision but the future will tell.
