For sale is an outstanding AVM Ovation SA 8.3 stereo power amplifier — one of the flagship models from the renowned German manufacturer AVM.
The SA 8.3 belongs to AVM’s top Ovation line and was designed for truly high-end systems, where absolute loudspeaker control, transparency, musicality and long-term listening pleasure are equally important.
Sonically, the AVM Ovation SA 8.3 offers a very desirable blend of solid-state power and control with a touch of tube smoothness and tonal richness. The tube input stage adds natural harmonic structure and a sense of refinement, but without slowing the sound down or making it overly warm. Bass is fast, deep and exceptionally well controlled. The midrange is clean, open and naturally saturated, while the treble is detailed, airy and refined, without becoming aggressive or fatiguing.
SA 8.3 uses 24 high-current MOSFET transistors per channel, to deliver more than 230 watts per channel into 8 ohms, more than 420 watts per channel into 4 ohms, and more than 700 watts per channel into 2 ohms. This means it remains stable and composed even with demanding loudspeakers whose impedance drops very low.
