The KX-R is a high-end line preamplifier. Its signature feature is the VGT (Variable-Gain Transconductance) volume control: instead of an input attenuator, the variable resistor adjusts the circuit’s gain, ensuring an input impedance of 1 MΩ per phase and a flat response from DC to 250 kHz regardless of the input level.
