Description
The Bricasti M5 network music player takes the digital music listening experience to the next level; it is a comprehensive and, above all, high-quality device. It is compatible with the Roon music server, allowing you to access your media library effortlessly and without any latency. Compatible with DLNA and other popular network protocols, the M5 delivers pure, transparent, lossless sound to your digital-to-analogue converter. It connects to your LAN via an Ethernet cable (or optional Wi-Fi), or via its SPDIF and AES/EBU digital outputs, supporting sampling rates of up to 192k PCM, DSD 64 and DSD 128 via USB.
The M5 is a dedicated DLNA and Roon Ready multimedia gateway. Raw data is simply transmitted to the M5 over the network from your NAS or server, and only then is it rendered as a real-time audio stream via its SPDIF, AES or USB outputs, connecting to your digital-to-analogue converter – such as our M1 SE, which captivates so many with its magic. Many computer servers fulfil dual roles as both storage systems and players, but not when you have a dedicated player like the M5. With the dedicated M5 player, the audio signal is processed close to its final destination (the DAC) for an optimal, pure and noise-free musical experience.
The M5 presents itself in the most elegant manner.
The chassis is milled from raw aluminium with a magnificent rounded finish. Inside the chassis lies the Bricasti media player, powered by the same linear power supply as the M1 digital-to-analogue converter, ensuring low-noise performance even under the most demanding conditions. The M5 takes the network player experience to the next level, without any unnecessary frills.
