For sale is my pristine Cayin CS-100DAC in Silver finish. This unit is 1.5 years old and has been significantly upgraded to offer a true high-end performance. It has been meticulously maintained in a smoke-free and pet-free dedicated listening room.
Technical Note on Operation: This DAC is designed for absolute signal purity. Please note that when using the USB input, you will hear the internal relays clicking only when the DAC detects a change in the sample rate (for example, switching from 44.1kHz to 96kHz). This is a deliberate part of its high-end construction to ensure a bit-perfect signal path and is not a defect.
The Ultimate Performance (I2S): While all inputs sound excellent, this DAC truly reaches its maximum potential when using the I2S (HDMI) input. It is the ideal connection for high-end transports to achieve the highest level of jitter-free musicality.
Premium Upgrades Included (€380 total value):
Valves: A matched quad of Genalex Gold Lion (Gold Pin) premium valves (valued at €260). They provide a much more refined, holographic, and musical soundstage compared to the stock valves.
Fuse: High-end HiFi-Tuning Diamond fuse installed (valued at €120), improving power delivery and transparency.
