Conrad Johnson Premier 14 (Fourteen) Preamplifier.
Condition: Mint/Perfect. Includes original packaging, manuals and remote.
Maintenance: Recently retubed with NOS (New Old Stock) tubes. A complimentary set of NOS spare tubes is included as a bonus.
Relay-Controlled Volume: Instead of a traditional potentiometer, it utilizes a microprocessor-controlled network of precision metal-film resistors. This allows for 100 steps of approximately 0.7 dB each, ensuring perfect channel balance and zero wear over time.
Zero-Feedback Circuit: Faithful to the CJ philosophy, the circuit features zero negative feedback. This eliminates time-base distortion and preserves the natural integrity of transients.
Tube Configuration: Features four 6GK5 single triodes. The circuit design consists of a triode gain stage directly coupled to a cathode follower to lower output impedance, allowing it to drive long cables without signal loss.
Premium Components: The interior features an abundance of polypropylene and polystyrene capacitors (custom-manufactured to CJ specifications) and high-quality Vishay resistors.
Suspended Chassis: To combat micro-vibrations that can affect tube performance, the internal circuit boards are mounted on elastomeric supports (floating chassis).
