Description
I am selling my Conrad Johnson ET-6 SE (Special Edition) preamplifier which is a benchmark for musicality, transparency, and timbre reproduction.
This is not a vintage Conrad Johnson model but a unit currently in the American manufacturer's lineup.
This unit embodies the full expertise of the prestigious American brand: a rich, palpable sound, magical midrange, a holographic soundstage, and remarkable bass authority—all without ever sacrificing definition. The SE version features superior components (higher-quality coupling capacitors) compared to the standard model, pushing musical expression and resolution even further.
It also includes the optional high-gain phono stage for MC cartridges; the built-in phono stage is of exceptional quality and rivals expensive standalone preamps.
Condition: Mint cosmetic and working condition; comes complete with accessories (remote control, power cord) and original box.
Tubes: I have upgraded it with diffrent NOS tubes that have very few hours of use; the phono stage tubes are brand new and unused (though I will also include the Mullard tubes, which have more hours on them but still perform excellently).
Included accessories: remote control, power cord, user manual, and original packaging.
It offers extensive connectivity (including a home theater bypass), as shown in the photos.
My asking price is €4,500, whereas the price when new is €12,790.
