The dbx 224X-DS is a classic vintage, standalone Type II Tape Noise Reduction System manufactured by dbx from roughly 1987 to 1989. It is highly regarded by cassette and open-reel analog tape enthusiasts for its ability to dramatically eliminate tape hiss and expand dynamic range.
