General : The Telos 590 Nextgen II is a top-class integrated amplifier from the Swiss brand Goldmund.
Technology : The Goldmund Telos is a very attractive and sophisticated amplifier with Swiss quality in appearance and performance. Beneath the elegantly finished cabinet is a fine piece of engineering. The Telos 590 Nextgen II has a power output of 2 x 215 watts at 8 ohms and 2 x 280 watts at 4 ohms. Prior to the generous amplification stage, the Goldmund Telos also has a serious DAC on board. This DAC, called the Goldmund Alize, is capable of transforming virtually all file formats into music, up to 384 kHz/32 bit and DSD 128. Naturally, the necessary analogue inputs are also present.
Listening : As many have already mentioned, the Goldmund Telos 590 Nextgen II is a refined-sounding amplifier. It ticks along like a subtle but reliable Swiss watch. Despite its impressive power, the Goldmund Telos does not necessarily try to impress with it, the power remains reserved to maintain a continuous authority.
