Description
UPDATE: the speakers were professionally modified by an experienced electronics engineer according to my suggestions, checked, measured. The material value invested in the crossover, cabling and the rest of the audio path is >1500 EUR (documented) + labour costs. The materials used include:
- ETI RESEARCH BP-50C speaker terminals;
- all internal cabling on Neotech SOCT-14 stranded Cu UP-OCC Teflon and Neotech STDCT-18 stranded Cu UP-OCC Teflon cables;
- Mundorf MCap Supreme, ClarityCap CSA, Jantzen Silver Z-ca capacitors,
- WAX ribbon coils;
- PathAudio, SUPERES, SCR resistors;
The effect? In my opinion, a spectacular improvement in presentation, clarity, control and overall quality. A modification worth every penny.
For those seriously interested, there is an opportunity to look inside and/or view photo documentation.
Impedance 8ohm minimum and 93dB sensitivity - even 1W tube amplifier drive them with ease.
The speakers were purchased in 2009 from Sun Audio Munich, I bought them in 2019 from the first owner and I have been using them ever since. The speakers are in almost perfect condition, with only slight signs of use.
Personal pickup is preferred, but I have the original packaging and all fillings and I can deliver the speakers to the new owner up to 300 km from Szczecin to Germany for the price of fuel. I also have proof of purchase.

The K2 S4800 shares driver and design technologies with the company’s flagship K2 S9800 SE (Special Edition). The K2 S4800 features a 435AL aluminum midrange compression driver and 045Ti ultrahigh-frequency titanium compression driver. The midrange/high-frequency horn assembly is complemented by a 1500FE 380mm (15") Aquaplas-treated pulp-cone woofer.
