For sale is a magnificent pair of JBL K2 S4800 floorstanding loudspeakers in the luxurious and rare Rosewood finish. These speakers share driver and design technologies directly with the legendary flagship K2 S9800 Special Edition.
• History: Originally purchased in 2009 from the authorized dealer Sun Audio Munich (Germany). I am the second owner, having purchased them in 2019 from the original first owner.
• Documentation: Factory proof of purchase (original invoice) is available.
• Condition: 100% technically flawless and operational. Visual condition is 9.5/10 (Excellent showroom condition with only minimal, microscopic signs of use, perfectly maintained in a non-smoking, pet-free dedicated audio room).

The original K2 S4800 is an outstanding speaker, but its factory crossover utilizes standard, cost-optimized commercial components. To unleash the absolute maximum potential of the world-class 1500FE 15-inch Aquaplas woofer and the 435AL/045Ti compression drivers, a comprehensive, uncompromising component upgrade was professionally executed by an experienced electronics engineer according to strict acoustic measurement disciplines.
The material cost alone exceeds 1,500 EUR (fully documented), excluding precision labor. The audio path now features:
• Capacitors: Premium Mundorf MCap Supreme, ClarityCap CSA, and Jantzen Audio Silver Z-Cap.
• Coils: Ultra-pure WAX copper ribbon coils for unmatched inductor performance and low DCR.
• Resistors: State-of-the-art PathAudio, SUPERES, and SCR precision audiophile resistors.
• Internal Cabling: Full internal rewire using ultra-pure OCC single-crystal copper in Teflon insulation: Neotech SOCT-14 (stranded Cu UP-OCC Teflon) and Neotech STDCT-18 (stranded Cu UP-OCC Teflon).
