Description
My system will be in storage for the next few years due to relocation, work and building a new house. This makes me think, if I should pack up my gear and keep it in safe and insured storage, or potentially sell some of it now… I’ll give it a try.
Notice that my Standard MAX is a Special Edition where the plinth and motor towers are made of aluminum and brass. This means my Standard MAX performance wise sits between the 18.000 euro standard MAX and the new 31.000 euro Standard MAX Supreme, that also has aluminium and brass construction.
Sikora stopped making the Standard MAX with the aluminium - brass sandwich construction due to very high manufacturing costs. Eventually this led to the two models we see in the lineup today, where the Supreme with it’s aluminium and brass construction is almost double the price of the Standard MAX.
I’m the first owner, it’s in mint condition, includes the record weight, the original huge wooden box, and also the clear acrylic cover made for this turntable as a special delivery from Sikora. The tonearms and cartridges shown are not part of the sale.
