Description
It's a true dual-mono, fully balanced design requiring two separate power supplies. Keeping the signal path as short as possible, the KA-S 450 features gold-plated circuit boards and twenty rather exotic ultra-fast Sanken RET output devices per channel with a total current capacity of 400 amps. The KA-S 450 employs four stages of voltage regulation, and each channel utilizes a low-loss 1,500 VA toroidal transformer with a capacity of 188,000 mF. What's quite unique about the KA-S 450 is its extremely high damping factor—better than 10,000 at 8 ohms, 20 Hz-20 kHz. This specification largely accounts for the KA-S 450's fantastic bass response and overall sense of poise. Power rating: 450/810/1,500 W into 8/4/2 ohms
