Description
‘’A thing of beauty is a joy forever’’.
After huge success of the series Blue Kiseki produced (still)
the most beautiful jewel stone cartridges ever. A joy to look
at and to listen to.
But because those were not cheap a more ‘’affordable series’’
is made with wooden body called ‘’PURPLEHEART ‘’.
Those ‘’ more affordable’’ carts are two kinds: PURPLEHEART
AND PURPLEHEART ‘’SAPPHIRE’. The difference being
the stylus (elliptical versus line contact) as well impedance
6 Ohm versus 40 Ohm. (See: SHARPHIFI, SECOND HAND
KISEKI).
The Agaat got more powerful SACO magnet ( ALNICO?)and
coreless coils such that impedance rose to 40 Ohms.
With ‘’iron core’’ one can use less winding wire for the coils to get
higher output but this has some negative effects.
But then, curiously, after those ‘’affordable’’ Purpleheart come
the least affordable LAPIS LAZULI. I have seen ONLY ONE
SECOND HAND FOR 10 K ON GERMAN MARKET.
ALAS ABOVE MY MEANS.
BUT again ‘’against any logic’’ come Blackheart the ‘’poor man ‘’
LAPIS LAZULI. The difference? Wooden body and boron
cantilever instead of jewel Lapis lazuli and diamond cantilever
instead of boron. AND WITH TECH. SPECIFICATION WHICH
WERE NEVER PUBLISHED BY LAPIS LAZULI. A KIND OF
VERSION OF GREEK MYTHS.
Technical spec.
Cantilever boron
Stylus line contact
Output 0,4 mV
Channel balance +/- 0.25 dB
Channel sep. +/- 30dB
Fr. response 20- 50Khz
Impednce 6 Ohm
Compl. 20x 10 -6cm /dyn
Tracking 1.6-2.2 g
=/- 0,25 dB
Channel sep.
