The Stogi Ref 313 VTA combines the features of the standard 313 version—a longer tonearm, a detachable headshell, easily adjustable azimuth, and high-precision ceramic bearings—with Kuzma’s zero-play VTA tower. This allows users to precisely adjust the tonearm height (and consequently the VTA/SRA) for each individual record, or even while the record is playing. Thanks to its offset mounting design, the STOGI REF 313 VTA is actually mounted at the same distance from the turntable spindle (P2S) as the 9” STOGI tonearm. This ensures compatibility with a wide range of turntables and plinths—including those with skeletal chassis designs or compact tonearm mounting areas.
The large-diameter VTA tower allows for smooth, precise height adjustment in increments as small as 0.01 mm. This precision complements the high-quality ceramic bearings of the STOGI REF 313, enabling exact alignment of the stylus within the record groove for optimal signal retrieval and the most natural musical reproduction. While such minute adjustments might seem insignificant, they are, in practice, clearly audible. Furthermore, because the tonearm height can be adjusted even while a record is playing, achieving the perfect setup for optimal performance is straightforward—even with relatively little experience.
