We have a pair of McIntosh MC501 reference-class, 500W mono-block amplifiers.
Received as a trade-in, these are fully operational. They do have cosmetic flaws: some of the letters on the terminals are missing and they require a good clean (thus the very low asking price), but overall they are in a decent condition commensurate to their age.
The MC501 incorporate McIntosh's Quad Balanced design, Autoformer technology, very low distortion and substantial current capability. McIntosh's own technical literature described it as one of its most advanced designs.
