Meze Audio Elite "Dark Mystery" – Limited Edition No. 56 of 100

Hello everyone,
I'm selling my Meze Elite in the hand-painted special edition "Dark Mystery". It is limited to 100 units worldwide and was sold exclusively through a single authorized dealer. Each unit is individually numbered; this one is No. 56/100.
Technically identical to the standard Elite, but visually in a class of its own: a high-gloss, hand-applied black finish with visible grain and a subtle glitter effect instead of the machined aluminum of the standard version. The appearance changes subtly depending on the light.
Isodynamic Hybrid Array driver (MZ3SE) by Rinaro, open-back design, 32 ohms, 3 Hz – 112 kHz, handcrafted in Baia Mare, Romania.
Instead of the standard cable, the separately purchased Meze upgrade cable is included: Mini XLR to 4-pin XLR, silver-plated PCUHD, 2.5 m length, in original packaging (retail price approx. €500).

REASON FOR SALE
After switching my setup to a minimalist single-headphone solution, the Elite is surplus. I'm reluctant to part with it, especially because it's a special edition – but a headphone of this class deserves to be listened to, not stored.

CONDITION
Technically flawless and cosmetically like new, apart from the details below, with an estimated 250–350 hours of use. The headphone was purchased in April 2025 from headphone.shop; I am the second owner. It was used exclusively at my desk and stored lying flat in the original case – never taken on the go, never lent out.
The only sign of use is a very small paint chip on one ear cup. It is clearly marked in the photos and can be viewed in original resolution. It is purely cosmetic and has no effect whatsoever on function or sound. According to Meze support, the spot can be repainted, and the headphone can be sent in for inspection at any time for this purpose.
The grilles, yokes and headband are free of scratches. The ear pads are in very good condition, with hardly any visible wear, no discoloration and no odor. Non-smoking, pet-free household.
The cable is also in good condition. There are slight cosmetic marks on the Mini XLR connectors, documented in the photos. They are only noticeable on close inspection and have no effect on function.

Accessories are listed as "almost complete" solely because the standard cable is not included.
Note on the invoice: It lists the standard XLR cable (2.5 m) and a 4.4 mm Pentaconn cable bought additionally by the previous owner. Neither is included; instead, the upgrade cable described above is included. The purchase date on the invoice is April 2025.

Shipping within Germany via DHL parcel with tracking, declared value and appropriate transport insurance, packed in the original box with an additional outer box. Shipping within the EU on request. No pickup.
