Description
I’m selling a Moon Neo 380D DSD DAC. Enthusiasts will recognize the faceplate of the 380D model (the earlier, non-DSD version), and that’s correct — this is a 380D that received a factory upgrade (the entire electronics replaced) to the NEO version with DSD. If I’m not mistaken, even the chassis is identical beyond the faceplate. It functions and sounds exactly like a NEO 380D DSD - because it is one.

The USB input natively supports up to PCM 384 kHz / 32-bit and DSD256.
It has the preamplifier board installed (variable output, separate from the fixed output), which was an extra-cost option at purchase.
It does not include the MIND streaming module; one can be installed if desired. However, I would recommend pairing this very capable DAC with a modern streamer (for example, a Lumin U1/U2 Mini). Although the DAC chip itself is not the latest generation, the analog output stage and power supply are in the €5,500 price range, and this is clearly audible. It delivers a natural, smooth sound with excellent detail placement in the soundstage — well above the asking price.
This is a good chance to buy a 380D DSD at a reduced price.
Only the DAC and original remote are available, but I can package them very well for shipment.
