Nagra Classic PREAMP – Reference Class A Valve Preamplifier – Exceptional Condition
Offered for sale is a Nagra Classic PREAMP in exceptional cosmetic and technical condition.
This preamplifier comes from the estate of a private collector of high-end audio equipment. The collection comprised carefully selected reference components from manufacturers including Nagra, SME, Wilson Audio, Aurender, Sony Signature and others. The equipment was exceptionally well cared for, and much of it saw only limited domestic use.
The Classic PREAMP is presented in excellent cosmetic condition, close to "as new," and is in perfect working order.
Developed from Nagra's highly acclaimed Jazz preamplifier, the Classic PREAMP represents one of the finest valve line stages available today. Operating in pure Class A, it employs a carefully selected complement of two 12AX7 (ECC83) valves and one 12AT7 (ECC81), delivering the natural musicality of vacuum tubes while maintaining the exceptionally low noise, wide bandwidth and precision for which Nagra is renowned.
The extended chassis of the Classic series allowed Nagra's engineers to implement substantially enhanced power-supply filtering and channel separation, resulting in an exceptionally quiet background, outstanding transparency and an expansive, three-dimensional soundstage. The preamplifier also incorporates Nagra's distinctive precision modulometer, a high-quality headphone amplifier and a fully featured remote control system.
