Description
I am selling a Naim Nait 5 Si amplifier at a bargain price (not to be confused with the lower-power versions, i.e., the Naim 5i and Naim 5i-2, also known as the "Italic"). The amplifier is from 2018, in perfect condition, and has seen very little use (on average perhaps once a month, and even less frequently of late); it was never left powered on when not in use. Although it draws very little power from the mains, it is surprisingly capable. The photos show tiny specks from the cloth I used to wipe off some light dust (its visual condition is excellent). It comes with the original double box and packing materials, manuals, remote control, and power cable.
The sound is very spacious and balanced across the entire frequency range, featuring great PRaT (typical of Naim) but without the excessive rigidity found in older models. I recommend checking out the review on audio.com.pl.
Unlike Naim power amplifiers, this integrated amp can safely be used with any speaker cables. I used it with Acoustic Zen Hologram II cables (a very good pairing, and the amp generated practically no heat). It can easily be switched to power-amp mode with just a few clicks (an interesting experience—I tried it with an expensive Air Tight tube preamp that I normally use with a Plinius power amp; the result was great, though I also enjoyed it as an integrated amp).
I am selling it because I am dismantling one (smaller) system. I highly recommend it (especially at this price point; just compare the cost of this model—the 5si—abroad, and you’ll see they are significantly higher).
