Description
I am selling my Pioneer RT-707 4-track, 2 channel reel to reel player/recorder.
Heads: 2 x playback, 1 x record, 1 x erase
Motor: 2 x reel, 1 x capstan
Reel size: up to 7 inch reel
Equalization: NAB
Tape speeds: 3 3⁄4 7 1⁄2 ips
Wow and flutter: 0.05% (7 1⁄2 ips)
Frequency response: 20Hz to 28kHz (7 1⁄2 ips)
Signal to Noise Ratio: 58dB
Total harmonic distortion: 1%
Crosstalk: 50dB
Input: 50mV (line), 0.25mV (mic)
Output: 0.45V (line)
Semiconductors: 67 x transistors, 47 x diodes
Dimensions: 480 x 230 x 356mm
Weight: 20kg
It went through a complete restoration, all electrolyte capacitors had been replaced to Nichicon, everything has been aligned, new capstan roller had been installed so it runs, plays and records excellently (as new).
Most light bulbs had been replaced to LED so they will not burn out.
The restoration had been carried out by a professional, and I ordered the restoration for myself.
I collected some additional parts to make it look new, so I can say this unit is a true collector's item.
It records to LPR35 tape beautifully and I give 3 LPR35 tapes with it. One used (once) and 2 never used.
Heads are in very nice condition, it had been used very little, I upgraded to Mechlabor studio tape recorder.
Magnificent musical performance, compact and efficient size, unfailing electronics, stress free mechanics. The RT-707 reflects Pioneer's stay ahead success in Hi-Fi by offering all the things you know you need in an open reel deck, and then some.
