Description
Ray Audio Kinoshita RM 4b – Extremely Rare Loudspeakers by Shozo Kinoshita
For sale: a pair of extremely rare Ray Audio Kinoshita RM 4b loudspeakers, designed and built by the renowned Japanese engineer and designer Shozo Kinoshita, known for his work with TAD.
These loudspeakers originally came from a European recording studio designed and built by Tom Hidley.
As the speakers have been used in a domestic listening environment for some time, a natural wood veneer was professionally applied to the exterior cabinets to better complement the living room interior. This gives them a particularly beautiful and elegant appearance.
Importantly, all original loudspeaker components remain completely unchanged. This includes the beryllium drivers, woofers, external crossover, internal wiring and even the original internal acoustic damping material.
The black speaker stands were custom-made at the owner's request for domestic listening purposes. In their original studio environment, the loudspeakers were installed flush into the studio wall.
In addition to the professional refurbishment of the cabinet finish, a specialist company carried out measurements of all drivers, including the TAD 4001 beryllium compression drivers and TAD 1601b woofers.
All measurements confirm that the drivers are operating within their specified parameters. Measurement graphs and detailed test results are available upon request for genuinely interested buyers.
