Mactone X-18E is a japanese handbuilt tube preamplifier with a good amount of detail and musical information and display it on a wide stage. The high frequency aspects was generally good, smooth, and never took away from being able to enjoy the music. The bass performance also was good being more full sounding.
Mactone has continuously manufactured high-fidelity vacuum tube audio components, longer than any other company in Japan.
