Description : This Bricasti M3 is the most comprehensive version of the M3, equipped with the optional balanced headphone amplifier and built-in streamer, also it has the optional CNC machined remote control. This is a very recent second-hand device, which is clearly evident from the new display that Bricasti Design has only recently started using in its equipment.

Power supply: The components used are all top quality. There is a dual linear power supply on board with two transformers. One circuit for all digital components and one circuit for the analogue electronics. The power supplies are linear and not switched, so the analogue and digital sections are separated from each other. This results in a very low noise floor for the most optimal sound.

D/A Conversion: D/A conversion is performed by two completely separate circuits. All PCM signals are upsampled and converted by a highly accurate 24-bit ADI 1955 Delta Sigma PCM DA Converter, with a highly accurate 8ps clock. PCM remains PCM and is therefore not converted to DSD. Converting to DSD may seem appealing, but it compromises the purity of the signal. For DSD, Bricasti's own discrete 1-pit pure analogue DSD converter is built in. This DSD conversion is the best possible method and is unsurpassed in terms of sound quality. If desired, you can also have the DSD files converted by the ADI 1955 converter. The digital filters are double-ended. You can choose between the Linear filter for the most precision or the Minimum filter for a slightly fuller reproduction.

Analogue: The analogue output buffer is a class A output amplifier, separate for the balanced XLR outputs and the Cinch outputs. An excellent solution in terms of sound. The Bricasti M3 contains an analogue-controlled volume control circuit. If desired, you can have the Bricasti M3 drive power amplifiers directly. The analogue output can deliver 8 volts. The volume control ranges from -60 dB to +8dB. At the 0dB setting, the Bricasti M3 switches the analogue volume control out of the signal path, making it a direct D/A converter output without the extra buffers

Remote: This Bricasti M3 is equipped with the CNC machined aluminium remote control. Since the Bricasti M3 has a beautiful large and very clear OLED display, you can easily operate the M3 remotely. All functions can be controlled, including volume, balance control, filters, the converter, etc.

Network player: The optional streamer is built into this Bricasti M3. This streamer is fully RoonReady. However, you can also use Audirvana and the streamer in the M3 as a DLNA endpoint. For those with an Android phone or tablet, you can also connect directly to the streamer using the BubbleUPnP application.

Listening: The Bricasti M3 has many of the features of the award-winning Bricasti M1 and M1SE Classic DA Converters. The sound is largely the same. A very pure and differentiated soundstage is revealed, and the music unfolds calmly and precisely. The Bricasti M3 has a completely analogue sound image. All Bricasti audio devices possess the art of analogue music reproduction. The sound image embraces you, rather than assaulting you. This Bricasti M3 is no exception. Expect a refined, neutral and highly musical reproduction of your favourite music.
