The Heed Si2 unit has been significantly upgraded in two key areas:
1. Premium Internal MM Phono Card: Converts Input 1 into a high-end, short-signal-path vinyl gateway, allowing you to connect a turntable directly without needing an external phono box.
2. Nichicon Audio Capacitor Upgrade: The critical internal capacitors inside the Si2 have 2 years ago been professionally upgraded to premium Japanese Nichicon audiophile components. By upgrading the Si2’s internal capacitors to premium Nichicon components, the preamplifier, phono stage, and signal paths operate with absolute purity.
The X2 completely takes over the power amplification section with its massive internal linear current reservoirs, leaving the upgraded internal Si2 transformer to power only the delicate preamplifier stage and the sensitive internal phono card. The result is an incredibly quiet, jet-black noise floor, a deeper holographic soundstage, and a vastly tighter, punchier, and more authoritative bass foundation—perfect for pulling the absolute best out of demanding or vinyl sources alike.
