Product information "ODEON AUDIO No.28"
ODEON AUDIO No.28, 3-way high-end bass reflex speakers, selectable for kidney and varnishes.
The No.28 is our smallest speaker in the Odeon family of 3-way systems. It impresses with its living-friendly proportions and easy installation. Despite its size, which is delicate for a horn, this speaker is able to create even large-scale orchestral classical music or rock concerts at the original volume in your living room with great ease. A special feature of the Odeon horn systems, however, is that, in contrast to "normal" loudspeakers, they sound dynamic and full even at the lowest volumes. The great transparency and extreme speed of the Odeon horns and their three-dimensional image give the listener the feeling of being integrated into the action and experiencing the performance live. The No.28 can be operated very well even with small tubes and transistor amplifiers due to its good efficiency and good-natured impedance curve.
Technology:
The speaker is equipped with a 26 cm woofer system in the bass range. Its powerful drive and the sophisticated ground-based reflex system allow for a deep yet fast bass reproduction, which can also be adapted to the room. The midrange is reproduced with a 13 cm aerogel high-tech system in the 42 cm spherical spherical wave horn. This system is also used in the large loudspeakers No.32 and No.38 and guarantees a finely drawn, three-dimensional sound that is unique in terms of spatial representation. It is also one of the fastest of its kind in signal processing. The newly developed tweeter is a neodymium magnet pressure chamber driver in the spherical horn, which is characterized by high dynamics and the highest resolution of the signals.
The crossover is made of the best, hand-selected components. As usual with Odeon, with impulse and phase-optimized characteristics. The three-part cabinet made of special materials selected for the sound behavior is handmade by German master carpenters and carefully processed with various veneers and varnishes of the very best quality and grading.
This is a guarantee for many years of enjoyment of this product.
