I am selling a pair of Piega Master Line Source 3 speakers, less than two years old, in mint condition, purchased from a store in Germany.
These 3-way speakers are based on midrange and tweeter ribbons arranged vertically in a dipole configuration, with a rear diffuser structure that allows you to enjoy all the benefits of no midrange-tweeter load while facilitating integration into the room. The cylindrical wave diffusion mode of the ribbons does not affect the floor or ceiling, resulting in a precise and fluid sound image.
The bass is handled by two exclusive high-excursion transducers and a unique motorization, in a load equipped with two rear passive transducers. The bass response is full and powerful, perfectly integrated with the fast and resolute response of the ribbons. The MLS3 is considered the most accomplished in terms of coherence and fusion of registers in Piega's top-of-the-range models.
I recommend these speakers for a living room where they can be positioned between 0.5 and 1.2 m from the rear wall, with a distance of 3 m or more between the speakers and the listener. The MLS3 will then fit elegantly into a living room with little or no acoustic treatment, providing a sound image and natural tone superior to most conventional floorstanding speakers on the market, whose transducers and loads are often incompatible with living rooms.
In terms of amplification, they have been designed with T+A electronics, which are renowned for pairing perfectly with the brand. Otherwise, you simply need to ensure you have good control at the lower end of the spectrum and beautiful timbres embodied in the mid-high range. So, if you love open, natural music reproduction, where a piano finally sounds like a piano, you may be pleasantly surprised.
I am selling them because I now have a dedicated acoustically treated room and the MLS3s give a fuller and more natural sound image in a more traditional living room, due to their design. I now use Vivid Audio G1.
They are like new, with the original packaging. Piega guarantees its speakers for 6 years, so they are still covered for 4 years.
Shipping by carrier at your expense and risk is possible. I can also deliver them myself or share the journey, in exchange for a contribution towards the costs, and only after payment by bank transfer, preferably.
