Beschreibung
The Pioneer RT-2022 is a vintage, semi-professional semi-modular reel-to-reel tape recorder introduced by Pioneer in late 1976. It stands as one of the largest, heaviest, and most expensive open-reel tape decks Pioneer ever manufactured, highly regarded by audiophiles for its tank-like build quality and superior audio reproduction.
System Design & Architecture
Two-Unit Modular Layout: Consists of the RTU-11 tape transport mechanism and the TAU-11 recording/playback pre-amplifier unit.
Channel Configuration: Operates standardly as a 2-track, 2-channel stereo master deck.
Expandability: The head assemblies are interchangeable. By pairing the transport with two TAU-11 pre-amplifiers and a 4-channel head block, the system transforms into a 4-track quadraphonic deck known as the RT-2044.
