PS Audio DirectStream Power Plant 15 (P15) power regenerator, mint condition, single owner, original packaging and manual included, black finish.
The P15 is a Class AB analog power regenerator. It is not a passive filter, but a true ultra-low impedance power generator:
AC-DC-AC Conversion: It rectifies the alternating current (AC) from the mains, converting it into high-voltage direct current (DC) stored in a generous capacitor bank.
FPGA-Based Waveform Synthesis: An FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) chip generates a mathematically perfect reference sine wave via an ultra-high-frequency, single-bit DSD stream.
Linear Amplification: A powerful, discrete analog amplification stage utilizes the DC power to elevate the DSD signal, outputting a stable, symmetrical, and distortion-free 230V voltage (typical THD < 0.2%).
Electrical Performance and Load Management
Output Impedance (< 0.008 ohms): The extremely low impedance and real-time waveform correction via a deep feedback loop prevent voltage sag when connected components demand sudden power peaks.
Power Output: It handles 1,500 VA continuous with a peak capacity of up to 3,600 VA, allowing it to safely power digital sources, preamplifiers, and power amplifiers.
MultiWave and CleanWave Functions: The former optimizes the sine wave peak to improve capacitor charging in the connected electronics; the latter applies a demagnetization cycle to the transformers of the connected devices.
Connectivity and Interface
Isolated Outlets: It features 9 Schuko outlets divided into 5 galvanically isolated zones and connected via solid copper busbars—a configuration designed to eliminate high-frequency noise cross-contamination (EMI/RFI) between digital sources and analog stages.
Touchscreen Control: The front panel houses a 7-inch color display that shows the oscilloscope, input/output harmonic distortion, and the actual improvement in mains quality.
